This year marks the fifth anniversary of the annual “Doing Autoethnography” conference. For the past four years, participants have come to present work, engage in vibrant discussion, and build relationships at the annual “Doing Autoethnography” conference. This fifth year, the tradition continues.

In order to provide autoethnographers of all levels the opportunity to present their autoethnographic endeavors and encourage dialogue among scholars across a variety of disciplines, the Department of Communication and Mass Media at Angelo State University is hosting the fifth annual “Doing Autoethnography” conference will be held March 10 through March 13, 2016 on the campus of Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. Dr. Carolyn Ellis (University of South Florida) and Dr. Lisa Tillmann (Rollins College) will deliver this year’s keynote addresses. Dr. Art Bochner (University of South Florida), Dr. Robin Boylorn (University of Alabama), Dr. Tony Adams (Northeastern Illinois University), Dr. Sandra Pensoneau-Conway (Southern Illinois University Carbondale), and Dr. Brandon Hensley (Millikin University) will facilitate workshops on autoethnography. This year’s conference will feature Dr. Desireé Rowe (Towson University) performing a special spotlight session. For more details, visit www.doingautoethnography.org.

There is no cost to attend this conference. Everyone is welcome to participate in all conference programming. Please make sure to register for the conference by February 10, 2016.

The conference is co-sponsored by the National Communication Association. There are no registration fees associated with the conference. All programming is open for general admission. On campus lodging will be available at a nominal cost for all attendees.
